Halden & Rowe Metals – One View of Trading, Stock and Cash
About the company
Same-day visibility
Open positions, stock and receivables are now visible in real time instead of being compiled weekly.
Three systems retired
Separate trade, warehouse and accounting tools were consolidated into one NetSuite platform.
Multi-currency control
Automated revaluation and settlement across GBP, EUR and USD removed a day of manual work each month.
Location
Rotterdam, Netherlands
Before, trading, warehousing and finance each had their own version of the truth. With NetSuite we finally have one, and we can act on it the same day.

About the customer
Halden & Rowe Metals is a fictional physical trader of non-ferrous metals, buying and selling copper, aluminium and zinc across Europe. Around 120 people work across trading, logistics and finance, with warehouses in three locations.
The challenge
Trades were recorded in one system, stock in another and invoices in a third. Reconciling them took days, exposure reports were always out of date, and fast-moving commodity prices meant decisions were being made on stale numbers.
The solution
FinanSys implemented NetSuite with tailored workflows for purchase and sales contracts, lot-level inventory and multi-currency settlement. Dashboards were built for traders and the finance team, so both work from the same live data.
The results
Three separate tools were retired and weekly reconciliation effort largely disappeared. Management now reviews exposure and cash position daily, and the business can onboard new counterparties and warehouses without adding administrative headcount.
